(This was ALMOST me AND my husband over the past couple months!)
Hi everyone! No, the blog – and me and my husband – aren’t dead. To sum it up, there have been some lengthy hospital visits, some major financial setbacks (considering I’ve been pretty much out of work other than a very short term temporary staffing assignment) since February, and life has just seen fit to turn us into its punching bags since about May. Things have finally settled down and I am FINALLY able to get back to blogging.
I’m finally back to work at what will hopefully become a permanent position. It’s a long term contract position that has huge potential to go permanent. (To be honest, there hasn’t been ANYONE who hasn’t worked a contract for this company that HASN’T gone permanent after working the full term of the contract, so I have hope!). So as of the end of July I am back to work full time. It’s also WFH so no long commute!
I am currently listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman (if you’ve never read/listened to it, I HIGHLY recommend the audio books – the narrator is AMAZING!). I’m on book 4 now – my husband has listened to all 8 books currently out multiple times and he’s not a fiction person, so that should say something – and I’m loving them.
I’m in the middle of writing books 13 and 14 of the Valspur legacy series also because these wonderful, crazy, annoying characters will NOT leave me alone. LOL
Emperor’s Daughter will resume tomorrow. Again, I apologize for the LOOOOONG silence. I do not recommend spending an extended time in the hospital in the US. It’s expensive as f***.
Thanks for all your patience with me. I hope you continue to enjoy the story. (If you’ve forgotten what’s been happening, I’m sorry! I plan on posting every week day going forward and I’m pre-scheduling now so we shouldn’t have any more missed days.)
~A.M. Guynes, your very apologetic author who is very tired of her body trying to murder her every other week
